Well, I am surviving and thriving at my new position here at Whites Road Pentecostal Church. I survived the youth weekend and convention as well as my very first sermon to an adult audience. I did not get stoned so I am guessing that is a good sign. Thanks to all who are keeping me up to date, via all the e-mails and texts stating I should come back to Edmonton. I love you all! New Bloggs to come.

Keep on e-mailing me.

I made it to Ontario while driving 23 hours straight. My journey on my first leg took 2 cups of coffee, 11 cans of diet coke, 1 Red Bull, and a heck of a lot of pit stops to go tinkle. Upon reaching Saskatchewan I managed to obliterate a Kyote at mach 1 or to the laymen 130km/hr. My trip accross country was definately a memorable yet sad event.

On a more serious note, I left Millwoods Youth on Tuesday night with mixed feelings. Excited to be starting my ministry that God has layed out, yet, greatly filled with sorrow at the many youth, leaders, and parents that have come such a close part of my life in the past two years. Surprisingly, I felt more at home during the two weeks at Millwoods then my past church experiences. The memories, laughs, good times, and God times, will definately accompany me into my ministry. With a myriad of memories it is all brought together in a mosaic to create the person I am today. THANK YOU!

In other news....
I GRADUATED.... Yes, it's official. I got my diploma and am excited to embark as a graduate. It has been my first 3 days at my new church and already I have discovered that although Bible College was great, it does not come close to preparing or painting an accurate picture of what full time ministry is really like.

These past few days, in my new appartement, has been great to connect with God. Theres no distractions of school, tv, phone, annowing room mates (j/k) - not really, and school work. Since work at the church has not yet picked up, it is great to start it off on the right foot. In a town where I know virtually no one and am 30 minutes away from Jacquie and 1.5 hours away from any of my friends, it is hard, yet surprisingly peacefull.

PRAY FOR ME
I am speaking the next two Sundays and humbly ask for your prayers that my own inadequicies would be made full in the light of God.

Well, once again it has been to long since my last post and a lot has changed. I graduated from Bible College (I hope), I have yet to see my marks, yet from the vibe I'm getting it seems promising. Those who have talked to me durring the last 3 weeks of school no that I was a tightly wound leaf spring in the back of a ford ranger driving on some insainely large ruts (metaphorically speaking). Althought the ford truck (school) has metaphorically exploded and conked out, my life (the leaf spring) remains in tact. Ok so I am retarded and the stress is being droped. Furthermore, my trip to California was much deserved and although was fun, much to busy. I had a great time at my cousins wedding and also a awsome time of hanging out with my friend Jordan (also a groomsman) at my wedding.

I also accepted a position at a church in Harriston Ontario, "Whites Road Community Church," which I am very excited about. Jacquie and I found a great apartment in Listowel, a neighboring town and are anxious to settle in soon after our June 23rd wedding.

It is with tremendous sadness I leave my home for the past two years here in Edmonton and at Millwoods church. My heart is heavy and full of the many memories, friends, and times with the youth I have experienced there. I will miss you all greatly.

I'm at work for my last shift today, and well, should get back to work, however, please keep me accountable to update this blog regularly with your hounding posts/invited comments.
